What started through teaching, writing and children's ministry has grown into Biblical resources, meaningful conversations, creative experiences, speaking opportunities and gatherings.
We believe that life moves through seasons of planting, waiting, pruning, growing and blooming.
Not every season looks beautiful from the outside, but God wastes none of them.
Flowering Almond exists to help people recognise His work in ordinary life, grow in truth and flourish through every season.

Finding Biblical truth in ordinary moments and helping others recognise God in every season.
Anneke Richter is the founder and creative voice behind Flowering Almond.
A teacher at heart, writer, speaker and creative, she loves finding Biblical truth in ordinary moments and turning those moments into stories that encourage others to recognise God in their own seasons.
Before relocating to Madagascar, Anneke spent 14 years teaching in South Africa, primarily in Foundation Phase education, and was recognised as a South African national teaching award winner. Her years in the classroom shaped a deep passion for children, parents and educators, and for helping children engage meaningfully with God’s Word.
Through Flowering Almond, Anneke writes children’s books, Bible study and devotional resources, hosts meaningful conversations, speaks to schools and groups, and develops creative experiences through Nature Finds.
Now living in Madagascar, she continues to write, create, teach and speak, drawing inspiration from the ocean, people, culture and wonderfully ordinary moments of everyday life.
We do not have to be blooming to be growing. God is at work in every season.

Creating spaces for women to gather, worship, connect and grow in faith.
Michelle carries the heart of Flowering Almond into women’s gatherings, camps and creative events in South Africa. A wife, mother of three, businesswoman and woman of faith, she has a natural love for people and for creating spaces where others feel welcomed and connected.
Worship is an important part of Michelle’s heart. With a deep love for music, she desires to help people turn their attention towards Jesus and encounter God through worship, prayer and authentic community.
Through Flowering Almond, Michelle helps create spaces where women can slow down, laugh, create, worship, pray and grow together — making room for meaningful connection and for the Holy Spirit to work.
While Anneke carries much of the writing, digital content and resource development from Madagascar, Michelle gives Flowering Almond hands and feet in South Africa through gatherings, worship, ministry and community.

It is a space for encouragement, Biblical reflection, honest conversation and creative resources that help people grow in their relationship with Jesus and recognise Him in everyday life.
